Ilupeju Secondary School now Ilupeju Senior Secondary school was founded on the 19th of October, 1981.
The
School is located at No1, Esther Osiyemi Street, Ilupeju off Coker Road,
Ilupeju, Mushin.
The
first Principal of the School was Mrs G.A.M Chinock.
The
first sets of Students were drawn from Four Neighbouring Schools namely:
1.
Community High School, Kosofe
2.
Ilupeju College, Obanikoro
3.
Ilupeju Grammar School, Oshodi
4.
The set at form one
were from Estate Primary School, Ilupeju
The
School Population as at the “on-set” was Four Hundred and Forty Three with
Seventeen Teachers and Two Non-Teaching Staff.
The
School was then under Somolu School’s Management Committee (S.M.C) on the 1st
of January 1992, the School was transferred to the Mushin S.M.C now Muslim
Teaching Service Commission.
The
School was divided into two on 6th January 2003, with Mrs. Adeneye
A.C as foundation Principal of the Senior School.
The
former Principal Mrs. Adeneye A.O was transferred to Mafoluku Grammar School
and I resumed as Principal with effect from 10th of October, 2008. The
present Population of the School stands as follows:

The Staff strength is 38
Teaching staff and 7 Non-Teaching Staff.
The School has 4 Bore
holes and there is no shortage of running water.
The School has just been
given a 17 Classroom block with 3 laboratories and so the School does not have
accommodation problems.
The School has adequate
toilets for staff and Students.
However, the school has a
shortage of Furniture for both staff and students.
The Students have been
performing well and have won laurels in many Competitions within and outside
the District.
